Utility Work to Impact Traffic on 33rd Avenue South in St. Cloud Through Thursday

ST. CLOUD, MNUtility personnel will start work on a crucial portion of 33rd Avenue South on Monday, causing traffic delays and lane cutbacks all week long, according to local officials.

One Northbound Lane Open Near Taco Bell

The northbound side of 33rd Avenue South will have only one lane between 2nd Street South and 1st Street South, close to the Taco Bell, starting Monday. Drivers are being advised to give themselves more time for potential slowdowns, even though traffic will still flow in both directions.

As part of a scheduled utilities enhancement project in the area, the activity is anticipated to continue until Thursday, weather permitting.

1st Street South Downtown Closure on Tuesday

The eastbound lane of 1st Street South between 5th and 6th Avenue South in downtown St. Cloud will be blocked for one day on Tuesday in addition to the lane restriction on 33rd Avenue South.

In order to prevent delays during the closure, drivers are asked to take alternate routes, which will be prominently marked as an adetour.
