Humidity will cause the heat index to reach a deadly 105 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the fourth significant heat wave of the year in the area and one of the longest-lasting extreme weather events to date.
The brunt of the heat is predicted to occur in the afternoon, and the advisory, which went into effect on Monday, is probably going to stay in effect until Wednesday.
