North Carolina’s Randolph CountyThe Randolph County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 58-year-old man with felony indecent liberties with a minor after looking into a May allegation of a potential sex offense.
James Kevin Hinson, the suspect, was taken into custody and checked into the Randolph County Detention Center on Tuesday. According to authorities, the inquiry started on May 26 when a tip of improper behavior involving a youngster was received.
Charges Filed Following May Tip
Deputies from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division obtained two charges after reviewing the case:

Misdemeanor sexual battery
Citing the continuing nature of the case and the victim’s protection, investigators did not disclose the accused victim’s age or identify.
Bond Set at $50,000
Hinson was given a $50,000 secured bond upon his arrest. According to county jail records, he is expected to appear in Randolph County District Court on Wednesday.
