Greenville, South Carolina.Deputies in Greenville County discovered a marijuana grow operation after receiving a disturbance complaint. They also arrested two people on several crimes, including drug manufacturing and endangering children.
Disturbance Call Leads to Drug Discovery
Deputies arrived at a residence on Old Georgia Road at approximately 10 p.m. on August 8 in response to allegations of a potential firearm-related disturbance, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies discovered indications of marijuana production after entering the house. As part of the inquiry, plants and associated equipment were confiscated.
Two Arrested on Drug and Child Endangerment Charges
Tiffany Lynn Charping, 29, was taken into custody by authorities on suspicion of narcotics manufacture. Later, she was freed after posting a $10,000 bond.
The 45-year-old Michael John Thomason was taken into custody on two counts of illegal conduct toward a child and drug manufacture allegations. Under a $30,000 bond, Thomason is still being held at the Greenville County Detention Center.
Child Safety Concerns Highlighted
