Indiana’s Hendricks County.According to recently made public court documents, a 19-year-old Honduran male has been detained for allegedly forcing a 9-year-old kid to engage in sexual practices. Weeks after the alleged abuse occurred at a residence in Hendricks County, Indiana, the suspect, Marvin Jose Vasquez-Martinez, was apprehended in North Carolina last month.
When Vasquez-Martinez was arrested, the FBI Indianapolis Office verified that he was in the country illegally.
Incident Unfolded During Summer Vacation
The unsettling claims are related to an occurrence that happened in July 2024. While on a family trip out of state, the boy alerted his mother about the assault. The youngster claimed that Vasquez-Martinez forced him to engage in sexual acts, according to the authorities.
An inquiry was launched in Hendricks County when the mother alerted officials right away. The apartment complex where the incident was thought to have happened was the scene of an officer response.
Details from Court Documents
The boy admitted to Vasquez-Martinez making unwanted advances, saying he liked him and telling him not to inform his parents, during interviews with law authorities.According to court filings, Vasquez-Martinez proceeded to sleep on the couch after leaving the bedroom following the alleged attack.
After fruitless attempts to get in touch with the suspect at the time, a more extensive search was conducted, and he was eventually apprehended in North Carolina.

In Indiana, Vasquez-Martinez is currently facing the following charges:
-
One count of rape
(Level 3 felony) -
One count of child molestation
(Level 3 felony)
As Indiana authorities work to bring him back for prosecution, extradition procedures are anticipated.
