Raleigh, North Carolina.According to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI), a married couple from Garner, North Carolina, was sentenced to 25 years in prison each after entering guilty pleas to numerous offenses involving child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Darryl and Carmen Foley Plead Guilty in Operation Winter Guardian
In February 2024, the defendants, Darryl Edwin Foley and Carmen Delia Foley, were taken into custody as part of Operation Winter Guardian, a comprehensive multi-agency child protection program that involved 44 local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, including the Garner Police Department and the NCSBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Agents discovered child victims as young as 1 to 12 years old, according to CBS 17, and part of the evidence included upsetting online conversations with undercover cops who were dressed as kids.
