Fourth Buc-ee’s Coming to Monroe County, Georgia, With State Environmental Approval

It is anticipated that the new travel station will open in March 2027 and will be situated close to protected waters.

In order to build near two unnamed dendritic tributaries of Deer Creek in the Upper Ocmulgee Watershed, the site’s development necessitated an astream buffer variance. Although development is normally prohibited by state law close to these bodies of water, environmental inspectors gave Buc-ees the all-clear to move forward.

The renovation comes after the largest Buc-ee’s in Georgia opened its doors in Brunswick just in time for Fourth of July travel.
