Charlotte, North Carolina.Emergency responders said that four persons, including one with significant injuries, were hospitalized following a violent confrontation that occurred early Sunday morning near Charlotte’s South End.
Near the well-known local venue, the Scorpio RSVP Complex, on Fairwood Avenue off South Tryon Street, the stabbing happened at around 1:30 a.m.Four people were admitted to the hospital, one of them was described as critically ill, according to MEDIC.
Scene Secured, Investigation Underway
Staff at the Scorpio RSVP Complex promptly notified Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, emphasizing that the event did not occur within the venue and that no customers were involved.
The club issued a statement to clarify that the event happened across the street from our location. Our crew promptly notified the police after realizing the external threat.
Soon after the incident, crime scene investigators were observed scouting the area, gathering evidence, and interacting with witnesses.
Witness Recalls Violent Fight
Caleb Cleanes, one of the witnesses, reported seeing a big fight break out close to the location:
I see these two groups of guys becoming incredibly aggressive with one another, fighting and striking each other till one of them is bleeding all over his face.
Currently, it is unknown what caused the altercation. No arrests or suspect identities have been verified by the authorities.
