Children Located in McDonough Hotel

Akachi Turner, age 11, and his brother, Aizon Turner, age 3, were found at a Residence Inn in McDonough, Georgia, some 30 miles south of Atlanta, according to the police.

As worries about the youngsters’ welfare increased, authorities issued notifications earlier this week when they were last spotted in Riviera Beach.

Non-Custodial Mother in Custody

When they were found, the kids were with their 43-year-old non-custodial mother, Audrey Turner. She was taken into custody at the scene and is currently being held in Fulton County Jail pending her extradition to Florida.

Officials reported that no car was discovered at the hotel during the recovery.

Community Relief

In Florida, the issue caused a great deal of anxiety, especially in Riviera Beach, where residents and neighbors had been keeping tabs on the boys’ whereabouts ever since they were initially reported missing.

Law enforcement and the public were relieved that the children were safely recovered, though officials have not yet disclosed how investigators located the youngsters at the motel in Georgia.
