EMANUEL COUNTY, GALocal officials say a drive-by shooting in Emanuel County has left one guy dead and another injured. Law enforcement has confirmed that the individuals who were involved in the recent gunfire along a remote lane have fled the site and are still unidentified.
Victims Shot in Vehicle Alongside Rural Route
The victims were inside a car when another vehicle drew up and started shooting, according to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office. While the second victim was sent to a nearby hospital with injuries, the first man was declared dead at the spot. Until the families have been notified, the names of the people involved have not yet been made public.
Although the incident seems to be targeted, local authorities have not established a motive. Investigators are collecting witness accounts and searching the area for surveillance footage. So far, no one has been arrested.
