Hall County Fire Rescue and Gainesville Fire crews responded to a fire at an auto repair shop in Gainesville Thursday evening.
When they arrived at the shop on Highland Terrace, firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from inside a 2,600-square-foot metal building. Crews went inside and found a car on fire. They quickly put out the flames and worked to clear the smoke from the building.
Workers on scene said the fire started during routine repairs, but the exact cause is still under investigation. No one was hurt.
